On that Sunday I stayed at home and did not go
anywere, so that is why I am in safe. Our home is
located 20Km away from the sea. This devastation has
been effcted to costal areas towards 1-3 Km from the
sea.
その日僕は家にいてどこにもいかなかった。だから安全だった。家は海から20キロ離れたところにあった。
被害は、海岸から1～3キロのところでおきた。
Most of my relations and friends living in coastal
areas have been badly affected and damaged their
properties. Now they are having only there dress. All
belongings were washed out to the sea.
海岸沿いの友達や親戚のほとんどは壊滅的なダメージを受けていた。現在彼らはただ服を持っているだけ。他のものは全部海に消えてしまった。
Still land telephone network is not working it is
difficult to contact to mobile too. so still I dont
know what has happend to some relations and friends.
未だ電話線はつながらず、連絡をとるのは携帯にも難しい状態。
まだ一体何が彼らに起きたのか分からない状況なんだ。
Still roads and railway tracs are not cleared.
まだ道路も線路も使えない。
Have u seen one city was covered by sea water. Name of
the city is GALLE. We have live pictures only for this
city. In that pictures you can see, all buses , stand,
shops and houses were under go with Tidal Waves.
あなたたちは、海水に覆われた街を、みたことがありますか？
「Galle」街の写真だけなら今もっている。バス、スタンド、お店、家全部が波に覆われているのがわかるだろう。
So you can immagine, what was the situation in other
cities on that time. I think all other areas also
damage withing few minutes. People had no time to even
run away from the tidal waves came very fast.
一体他の街にも何がおきたか、これでわかるでしょう。思うに数分で他の場所も同じように
ダメージを受けてしまった。人々は津波から逃げる暇もなかった。あまりにも波は早すぎた。
It was a mercyless natural disaster. what to do?
自然災害だった。一体どうすればいいの？よかったの？
If American Tsunami center at Hawai is inform about
the earthquake and the Tidal Waves to all those
countris, i think most of the life colud be saved.
Becase it took 2 hours to travel from that place to
get affected those countries. so people have enough
time to go away from coastal areas.
ハワイのアメリカ津波センターが地震と津波についてすべての国に警告していたら、
きっとほとんどの人たちはすくわれただろう。被害があった国々に津波が向かうには
2時間もかかったからだ。人々が海岸から逃げるには十分な時間だったはずだ。
Anyway, only few people were escaped from that
incidents.
少なくとも、ほんとうにわずかな人びとがこの大災難から逃げられた。
One train gone from Colombo to Matara also got caught
by tidal waves. 1500 people were die in that train.
コロンボからマタラまでの電車も津波に襲われた。1500人の乗客が死んだ。
Thousand vehicles buses, lorries, vans, cars etc.
travel along the coastal areas were draged in to the
sea with all passengers. some vehicles still in the
bottom of the sea with dead bodies.
海岸沿いを走っていた
千もの乗り物、バス、ローリー、バン、車･･･
みんな乗客と共に被害をうけた。未だ死体と共に海の底に沈んだ車もある。
I think 50% of death bodies can not be found. All are
in the sea bed.
死体の半数は見つけられることが出来ないだろう。みんな海の底だ。
Some children orphanage, temples, hospital, Navy camps
and towns were washed out with all people to the sea.
いくつかの、孤児院、寺、病院、海軍基地や町は人々と共に
海へ消えていった。
Unfortunatly it had happend in Sundays. Normally all
coastal cities are having temporary markets in
Sundays. What has happend on that time thousand and
thousan people in those market had been affected and
drawn in the sea.
さらに不幸なことに、地震は休日に起きた。普段すべての海岸の町は
マーケットを休日に開いている。一体、その、被害をうけ海へ沈んだマーケットに
きていた何千人もの人々に何がおこったのだろうか。
Not only lives, Sri Lankan govermnet has lost huge
amount of properties too. this will badly affected to
our economy.
いのちへの影響だけじゃない。スリランカは非常にたくさんの資源（資産）を失った。
これは僕たちの経済にとても悪く影響するだろう。
Dear friends we all are in a shock. we cannt think
what has happend to us and what to do next.
ほんとうに、ぼくたちはみんなショックをうけている。
なにがおきたのか、なにが次におこるのか、なにも考えられない。
More than 50,000 may be killed, 1 million displaced
and 70,000 house completly destroyed.
School, hotels, government buildings, temple also
damaged.
たぶん5万人以上死んだ。100万人が漂流、7万軒の家が完全に崩壊した。
学校、ホテル、政府の建物、お寺などもダメージをうけた。
According to the histry, Sri Lanka is a safe country
and there were no big natural disasters during last
2200 years. but it came in our life. we have faced it.
歴史上、スリランカはとても安全な国で、今まで2200年間、大きな自然災害などなかった。
でもそれはおこった。ぼくたちは今それに直面してしまったのだ。
we need to help them till they recover from all those
problems and rebuild our nation again.
助けが必要だ。このすべての問題から回復するまで。
そして、またぼくたちの国を再建するために。
so it is a very very bad time for all Sri Lankans.
これはすべてのスリランカの人々にとって
最低、最悪の時機だ。
And also i am expresing my deepest condelence to all
others die in any countrie.
